【摘要】:ThispartofBS8103givesrecommendationsforthestructuraldesignoflow-risehousingandcoversthestabilityofthestructure,siteinvestigationandfoundationsandgroundfloorslabsusedintheconstruction.Foundationscomprisingstripfootingsortrenchfillfoundedinnormalgroundaretheonlytypedescribed.Low-risehousingcomprisesdetached,semi-detachedandterracedhousesandflats(withnotmorethanfourself-containeddwellingunitsperflooraccessiblefromonestaircase),ofnotmorethanthreestoreysabovegroundintendedfordomesticoccupationandoftraditionalmasonryconstructionwithtimberroofsandfloorsoftimberorconcrete.Forthepurposesofthisstandard,additionalhabitableaccommodationintheroofspaceconstitutesastoreyofthehouse.Therecommendationsalsoapplytocertainsinglestorey,non-residentialbuildings,e.g.domesticgaragesandannexestoresidentialbuildingswithafloorareanotexceeding36m2.Thisstandarddoesnotincludethedesignofbasementsbut,providingthebasementisofonelevelonlyandisdesignedtoprovideafirmplatformatgroundlevel,theprovisionsofthisstandardmayapplytothesuperstructure.Proprietaryhousingsystemsandhousesoftimber,steelorconcreteframedconstructionarenotcoveredbythisstandard.Thestructuraldesignrecommendationsdescribedinthisstandardarenotspecificallyintendedtocoverotherconsiderationssuchasfireresistance,thermalandsoundinsulation,resistancetodamppenetrationanddurability.
