【摘要】:ThispartofISO/IEC10118specifiestwohash-functionswhichmakeuseofmodulararithmetic.Thesehash-func-tions,whicharebelievedtobecollision-resistant,compressmessagesofarbitrarybutlimitedlengthtoahash-codewhoselengthisdeterminedbythelengthoftheprimenumberusedinthereduction-functiondefinedin7.3.Thus,thehash-codeiseasilyscaledtotheinputlengthofanymechanism(e.g.,signaturealgorithm,identificationscheme).Thehash-functionsspecifiedinthispartofISO/IEC10118,knownasMASH-1andMASH-2(ModularArithmeticSecureHash)areparticularlysuitableforenvironmentsinwhichimplementationsofmodulararithmeticofsufficientlengtharealreadyavailable.Thetwohash-functionsdifferonlyintheexponentusedintheround-function.
